The roots of the palm tree, especially those growing in the desert, apparently go down very deep, in order to find nourishment and refreshment. The depth of the palm trees roots also allows it to stand strong and firm during the deserts inclement weather.
The real objective of our Church is to see people of all ages brought into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our aim is also to see people filled and refreshed in the Holy Spirit, firmly rooted and grounded in the Word of God, and actively involved in personal evangelism. To help archive this we offer courses on: Becoming a Christian, Water Baptism & Discipleship.
We also believe prayer is important. We therefore hold a weekly prayer meeting in the Church.
You will also find more information under: Early Days - What We Believe. - How to Become a Christian - Just click the button.
The name Elim comes from Exodus 15:27. It simply states, ‘Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees and they camped there near the water.’
Our next Renewal Day will be held on Thursday 10th May 2012
At the beautiful Belsey Bridge Conference Centre, Ditchingham.
